Truths about Perimenopause and Finding Your Way Through

WRITE OF PASSAGE: TRUTHS ABOUT PERIMENOPAUSE AND FINDING YOUR WAY THROUGH

WHEN: Wednesday, May 31, 2023 from 3 - 5 pm PDT/ Thursday, June 1, 2023 from 8 - 10 am AEST

WHAT: WRITE OF PASSAGE is a two-hour, live, virtual workshop for anyone with a body. Perimenopause has been wreaking havoc in my life, and that has forced me to learn about myself -- to take better care of myself and my relationships, to learn that the systems in my body are connected, to get stronger, to rest. Learning makes me feel both empowered and infuriated. Why is this major transition such a mystery to so many of us?

I feel like an evangelist about perimenopause. I wish I’d known this stuff about my body when I was 20. Or 30. Or 40. Come write with me. We’ll be joined by a medical expert, Dr. Sarah de la Torre (she’s my amazing doctor, who is helping me navigate this transition!). She’ll talk with us for 30 minutes and share key things we need to know and do to be our most vibrant selves. And for the other 90 minutes, we'll write. I'll give you prompts to help you express your feelings, your questions, and your knowings, and together, we'll find our way through.

This isn’t just a workshop for writers. It’s for everyone. Writing will be our tool and our guide. It will help us better understand, express, release, discover, claim, and know. Come join us. Let this be a powerful right of passage. Invite your friends and loved ones. The workshop is virtual, so you can live anywhere. And it will be recorded, so if you can’t attend the live session, or if you want to watch it a zillion times, it will be available for you.
