How THE WORD KITCHEN works:
- Bring 10 double-spaced pages of your own writing-in-progress
- Sarah will lead you through two hours of exercises and prompts that will help you revise your work
- We meet on Zoom (so you can live anywhere in the world)
- If you can't attend the live session, it will be recorded, so you can watch on your own schedule.
Invite Your Friends!
The workshop is free and open to all levels, genres, and stages of the writing process.
You are welcome to invite friends and colleagues and writers to enroll.
Writing in community is powerful.
Testimonial:
“You create these magical, transformative experiences where I realize that my writing can be so much better because you show me how to make it better. Your work helps shift me from doubting my abilities to believing that I can be a better writer."
-- Shelley Baird, Writer
Testimonial:
"I loved this workshop. The truth about listening deeply to our own authority/authorship as we revise our work, while freely, wildly looking at the work from different angles speaks to a dismantling of entrenched thinking of what is good, familiar, and bad. It taps into the freedom I’ve felt when I’ve been in groups that center black feminist voices of color, like Lorde and Morrison. This workshop speaks to the beauty we all have within to create."
-- Sara Yamasaki, Writer
